Google Local Ranking Question

Hello Everyone!

Does anyone know what criteria Google uses to rank the Google Local results? Sometimes, it seems like the physical location is a big part of it, but sometimes it seems like location is not the most important factor.

If you are search for "realtor new york city", how does Google decide which one should go first, given the city is huge?

Some factrs that is considered in local Google ranking.

1. Location of server your site is hosted
2. Ranking of the sites you built yous Backlinks - build it on sites that are doing well on the SERPs of a particular Google locality
3. Domain extension - .us for US based sites, .co.uk for UK, etc.

there are some things to consider for that.. and the most important things are the domain name extension, the target market or area of the site, the keywords within the site's pages, the links, etc.
