How to promote the site?

I would like to attract more potential customers to the site votingserver.com which is dedicated to remotely hosted services. The services are created to help webmasters upgrade their pages with new interactive tools such as voting feature, guestbook, chat, send-to-friend, etc., and do not require special knowledge of html and programming.
Currently we have several hundreds of subscribers after opening the registration in September 2007. In my opinion it is quite a little. I need your advices in site promotion and attraction of customers (as prospective audience is very large: webmasters, users of social webs, etc.)

submit your site to directories...get your site out into the peoples and the bots eyes

make use of forum signatures (where allowed) place links to your sites in every forum signature you have...this is a quick and easy way to have your site get indexed and crawled by bots

find other related websites and offer to do a link exchange with them or pay them to have your site (or ad) listed on their site...

I think you can find a lot of ways to promote your site and increase your site traffic from the Internet.

For free, the most effective way is directories submission, link exchange and forum signature and avatar. But bear in mind, only exchange link with those websites related to your site.

But don't forget the Traditional Strategies like include Your URL on Stationery, Cards, Literature, Direct mail, Classifieds, Post cards, etc. TV can be used to promote websites, especially in a local market. Sometimes these ads are more targeted, more effective, and less expensive than online advertising.

Posting at social networks is one of the effective methods of getting huge traffic - you just have to make a very good article that is worth reading

I would say blogging, articles submission and forum posting are some of the activities that you can perform for promoting your site. These activities would definitely give you some traffic to your site as well...
