Paid Postings - Good or Bad Idea?

I have seen many forum owners who look for posters and they pay for it, I myself have done some paid postings too but I personally don't like this thing, because the forum owner should not look only for postings and posters, he should concentrate on the content of his forum.

I think he should work on the categories, Permissions, Features and other stuff on his forum instead of just making posts. If the content and everything is ready and useful then people will automatically come and join his forum and he will slowly and gradually get many people there.

What do you think about it? Are you in favor of paid postings or not?

yes, many new forum taking paid posting service but I think that is not for me. I believe in natural ways.

Exactly. Lets grow this forum natural way because if you start paying for postings you will just get stupid posters who will make some number of posts, take money and run away.

But the true or natural posters will come to this forum, join it with their will and stay here more than the paid posters.

Paid posting is certainly good for posters

But I do agree, it's not useful for forum itself. There are other ways to get users & make them post around for an active forum. I think we should be doing something about it soon

Paid posting is a good way to get the forum started but paid posting should not last for ever. It should only be a method to give the forum a kickstart at the beginning.

eh, a forum that i'm staff on...and don't get me wrong i like the owner and I like a handful of the fomers...but for the most part the members post stupid one line crap and then want to get paid...

while the other half post get rich quick schemes and links to warez.....

so in my experience, no paying for forum posters is not a good idea

I don't think its a good idea, If we start to make people pay, they will just go to another forum.
