Hi, glad I was helpfull. Typicaly, SEO is broken down into two groups, on page optimization, and off page optimization.
On page optimization would include things like:
1. Making sure you have page specific meta data
2. Making sure the content on said pages corresponds with the page specific meta info.
Off page optimization includes things like:
Backlinks coming from good sites. The list is actually quite large really.
These days it is most helpful to utilize social networking strategies such as
1. A myspace page related to your main website.(in spite of the fact I hate myspace).
2. Stumble Upon is huge these days for generating relevent and even not so relevent traffic.
3. RSS... make sure you have some articles on your directory with RSS capability and then start submitting your feed url'sto sites like feedburner, DIGG, etc.
I am a bit swamped right now but I will give a better response in an hour or so.
